President’s Message

Hello friends of the Southwest Chapter!

Here we are halfway through the year. Let’s take a look at
what has happened over the last couple of months. For the first time we had a small
local event outside of the two main conferences the chapter does each year. It
was held in Denver the middle of May. We partnered with QRCA and the Digital
Analytics Association. We had the event a brewery, so who could refuse that! If
you are in Denver, check out 10 Barrel Brewing. It was so great to host
networking and learning for Denver Researchers. We had a couple of hours of
networking and two speakers who talked about crowd wisdom and the science
behind visual perception. The feedback we heard was outstanding, so look for
more of these smaller events!

The 2018 Chapter of the Year announcement was made. Congrats
goes to both the Northwest and Great Lakes Chapters! While the Southwest
Chapter didn’t win an award, we know we are doing great things and will work
hard for you the rest of the year.

Speaking of working hard. If you are a hard-working,
passionate insights person and feel the call of servicing others, the Southwest
Chapter nominations for next year’s board will be held at the end of the year.
If you would like to explore what it takes to run for a board position, reach
out to myself @ Lhazenuancecoding.com or Jeb Bullis @ jeb.bullis@voxco.com.

On a personal note, I’m late to the game but I’m now binging
the whole series of Game of Thrones.  😉
