A review of the  explosive overall growth patterns of the Hispanic/ Latinos in the US.  We will explore how the complexity of the Hispanic identity, thru origin and culture impact the research process.  In the data collectors world the word “acculturation”  is defined so many different ways.

Bio:
Galloway Research ServiceElisa D. Galloway is co owner and President of Galloway Research Service, a full service market research company. Elisa began her career in marketing and opinion research as an interviewer over 40 years ago. Over the years she has honed her skills and knowledge in many areas of the research process; from project supervisor to CATI programmer to personnel director.  Today Elisa oversees all company operational activities and support services.

Elisa’s extensive involvement in all aspects of the research process are exceeded only by her countless volunteer roles with the MRA.  From her first MRA involvement in 1979 on the fall conference committee to her most recent position serving as the National Chairman of the Board for the National Marketing Research Association (MRA) .   Elisa has served on and chaired dozens of committees and workgroups, been President of the Southwest Chapter of the MRA and been a driving force in our industry for education and professional development.

In addition, to her work with the MRA Elisa won national acclaim for the San Antonio Chapter of the AMA while serving as chapter president and then with her service on the national AMA’s Past Presidents Council.  Despite her extensive her work and volunteer activities, over the years Elisa also found the time to be a PTC President, Girl Scout and Boy Scout Leader, and serve as a board member and volunteer for civic and charitable organizations ranging from the Muscular Dystrophy Association to the Archdiocesan School Council.  Elisa and her husband, Patrick  reside in San Antonio, TX.
